The Community Services Bureau (CSB) was established to serve as a resource to our community as a way to reduce crime and increase the quality of life for our residents. The CSB is responsible for implementing various services and programs to further educate the public in criminal awareness and personal safety. The CSB is also responsible for traffic safety within the Township, from conducting specialized enforcement details to comprehensive traffic safety investigations that identify and correct problem areas. The CSB is further responsible for the enforcement of the Township's parking ordinances within the center business district.

The Community Services Bureau is currently under the supervision of Sgt. Scott Welsch and reports to the Administrative Division Commander. The CSB is further staffed by a full-time Community Policing Officer, two full-time School Resource Officers, a part-time School Safety Officer and a full-time Traffic Safety Officer.

Virtual Crime Watch:

With the growing popularity of both home and business security camera systems, the possibility of catching criminal activity and/or those responsible for it on video has become much more likely.  By registering your camera system with the police department, it provides us with additional resources to identify and apprehend those responsible for criminal activity in your neighborhood.  It should be noted that you are simply notifying us that you have a camera system and we are not granted access to your server.  If and when an incident occurs in your neighborhood, you will be contacted and asked to check your own system for any evidence that may assist our investigation.  If anything is found, we simply ask that you contact us and allow us to view the footage and/or provide a copy of the footage to us.  Those residents and businesses choosing to participate in the program will receive a Virtual Crime Watch window decal to place on their home/business.  In addition, warning signs that an area is part of the Virtual Crime Watch program will be erected in those neighborhoods with multiple participating residents/businesses.  Please help us keep your neighborhood safe and register your security camera system by completing this FORM and returning it to Police Headquarters in person or by mail.
